BCFC 2-0 TEK Utd
The Sunday side got their first win of the season against TEK Utd on Wednesday night in the Iveagh Grounds. First goal came from the goal a game man Foxy, his last as a carefree single man just 3 days before his wedding. The second came from big target man Lukey, as he became the first player other than Foxy to score for the Sunday side this season.
It was a game that could have been 6 or 7 nil in truth, with the TEK keeper performing like the human octopus to keep out point blank efforts from Lar, Foxy, Luke and Aaron Coleman all in the first half. The situation wasn't helped by Barry Burke managing to put two chances wide from a combined distance of 2 yards. Nil all at half time and the message was keep going and the goals will come. The second half was more of the same as Foxy again went close. Just when it was starting to feel like one of those nights, great play from Luke and Dec Murtagh saw Dec get free and drive in a great ball for Foxy to lash home the opener with a well taken first time strike. The relief of the goal lifted Bangor and the second goal came minutes later when Foxy put Lar through and he squared for big Crouchy to tap home the second. 2 nil it finished, with a couple more chances to add to the scoreline missed, but a satisfactory night for the lads. Best of luck to Foxy and Lisa on Saturday.
Come on the Bangor!
